Hello world! I've been meaning to get this review up for a while but was just too lazy to get all the pictures and edits down. But today I'm finally sharing my thoughts on the Face Shop's Mono Pop Eyeshadow Palette in #01 Daily Muzi! I received this a gift from one of my best friends and I've been absolutely in love with it (so much so that I've been stalking Yesstyle for other eyeshadow palettes...it's a real problem...)

This eyeshadow palette is a cute collaboration with Kakao Talk which I believe is the Korean version of LINE (which I personally use). The packing is super cute with the Muzi's face both on the paper slip and plastic container.

When you open the palette, there's this cute plastic covering which prevents the eyeshadows from getting dirty. The design is so cute with all the Kakao character standing with their backs facing you (except for Muzi.) The palette also comes with a dual ended sponge applicator. Personally, I'm not a fan of sponge applicators in general so I've never used it, but it feels really nice, not like the cheap ones where the sponges come off super easily.

The palette itself is a pop of color with the bright yellow that just boosts my mood when I use it in the morning (perfect for 8ams when I'm half asleep). It comes with a huge mirror, making it super convenient to travel with as well. The top half of the palette can bend all the way down so the entire palette is flat, but for the sake of the picture I only pushed it down a bit.

As I said before, the palette comes with 8 eyeshadows in a range of different finishes. I had to do some research to make sure I was classifying them correctly but I came to the conclusion that there are four matte shadows, three satin shadows, and one shimmer shadow. All the shadows are incredibly pigmented and with such a wide range of colors, you have an endless amount of options from a simple everyday look to a smoky eye for a night out. 

Here are the swatches and I apologize if the first three colors are a bit hard to see on my super pale skin. When I use this palette, I try to incorporate as many shadows as I can and I'll even use all eight sometimes. 

To give a quick rundown of each color:

1) neutral cream - inner corner highlighting or setting your eyeshadow primer

2) light golden satin - center of the lids for some sparkle 

3) warm matte coral - base color

4) golden brown satin - accent or define the lower lash line

5) dark matte brown - define or wing it for a softer eyeliner look

6) cool toned satin brown - accent color or another eyeliner shade 

7) neutral medium brown - accent color 

8) shimmery gold - center of the lids or on the aegyo sal (inner half of the lower lash line) 

This palette essentially has all of my favorite colors for a perfect everyday look and I've honestly been so obsessed. I hope this review offers a decent overview of the palette and I apologize if I didn't explain any parts correctly. I'm better at reviewing books than makeup but I've got to start somewhere!
